Exercise When Sick With Herpes Outbreak?

CASTLE PURITY - Arturo Ripstein (Castle of purity - 1972)

The Castle of Purity is a fascinating film: horror in its purest form part of a fascinating premise.

A troubled man, crazy, fanatical, zealous and self-conscious play God and holds for almost two decades, some twenty years, his entire family in a huge mansion that they can not get out.

His wife and three children never go outside the makeshift prison and the man made to work, gym teacher makes them, and also is their teacher, explaining the world at its particular optic and twisted.

Still it is also the jailer. Hit their children, humiliates them, locks them in a dungeon for punishment and subjected to all sorts of physical and psychological abuse in order to exercise their absolute control of his emotions and destinies.

But the really scary about this film so interesting is that it is based on actual facts as I have said many times, than fiction.

I explain above what happened in Mexico, the real story, in the mid-40's.

Long before he was born a man named Rafael Perez Hernandez, a Catholic, married young and later divorced to 33.

That's when he suffered a terrible accident when he fell from a moving train, which required the amputation of his left arm. The guy suffered a tremendous trauma for it.

Later he met a 17-year-old daughter born in Mexico but the English, the Basques, Sonia Maria Rosa Noe, blonde, blue-eyed blanquita.

started a relationship and went to live Jalisco to Mexico City, a large house on the corner of Insurgentes north and Godard. There the

that gave Rafael for reading, and immersed himself in books of thinkers and intellectuals from all over, until it formed a bizarre cocktail in his mind to the point that was stated a freethinker.

At that point I was convinced that the world was corrupt, everything was crap and that he need to lie outside of a decadent society and changing.

one hand was tremendous jealousy about his wife of European features, so decided not to leave the house ever. That was the beginning of the captivity of his entire family under his ailing tyranny. Rafael

broke with all her family and became an atheist, denying any kind of religion.

had her first child with Sonia, called Untamed. Did not want to give names of Christian saints to their children, so named with names like: Untamed, Free, Sovereign, live well, successful and free thought. We, as you will verify, the guy was not sane.

In a huge room in the house built a factory-manufactured laboratory rat poison to kill mice and rats. That was locked in cages many of these mammals, which experienced its Recipes rodenticides and watched as they died in convulsions. It is said that she enjoyed it and spent hours and hours watching as the animals died. Which indicates that it was a sadist.

then had more children with his wife, Sonia, and it is unclear if they experimented with poisons or wanted to get rid of them, two died vomiting blood. Sonia babies die after he threatened to leave the house and leave him. Then the deaths of the babies stopped.

The couple in real life had five children, the film only come three to streamline the story and make it understandable with less characters.

Children work long hours making rat poison for his father, who sold around the neighborhood.
Rafael gave
A roll of spirituality, and decided that their children were pure and healthy, eat only water, oats and beans, being a Spartan diet that the children had day after day for nearly two decades .

had in the house watches or calendars, or mirrors. Only one in the room or chamber of marriage to which children could not enter because they were banned. Rafel

watched the entire family daily, had practiced holes through doors and walls throughout the house by those who watched and listened to the inhabitants of the house.

Daily, Rafael was a teacher of their children, and became the philosopher and the intellectual and explain how the world worked, etc ... When the fund was only an ignorant bigot and without many studies, daydreaming that his mind was brilliant.

type subjected to rigorous punishment to his family, created a kind of code prison disciplinary according to certain offenses. Punishments ranged from humiliation, beating, beating of your single arm, we shaved the heads even the girls, and even had a makeshift dark dungeon where he kept on offenders, without food.

ironic was the son of a bitch, because apart subjecting his family to an austere and strict diet, the kind he left out of the house beat their best meals in restaurants and even went to the whorehouse, then he frequented prostitutes as eyewitnesses.
Indómita
Her daughter remained with her brother incest free, which incurred the wrath of Rafael punished both terribly.

Indómita, true to the name, hated his father turned on him and tired of his tyranny and that old man who thought he was God, he climbed to the top of a tree in the backyard , notes and cast abroad for help.

After several notes, someone found a chance and a good citizen led police, who set up surveillance around the house to find out what really happened.

On July 25, 1959 a group Mexican police raided the house, but Rafael tried to start a fire to destroy the place and make all his family died, but was stopped.

According to police reports, the children were frightened, malnourished, thin, wore old clothes and broken, stink and talk bad Castilian. All looked like idiots.

Rafael Perez Hernandez was imprisoned in the terrible prison Lecumberri Black Palace and 13 years later, in 1972, suicide by hanging himself in his cell with a rope that had been stolen.

This amazing story is 100% REAL and shocked Mexico in the late 50's when such a move is found. The black and white photos at the end of the post are from the time of Raphael, his family newspaper headlines of that time, and room photo beds was where all her children were sleeping together. This resulted

based on a novel about these events, call The cat laugh and a play called The reasons for the wolf.

And in 1972, the year that Rafael died insane in prison, was released the film inspired by this amazing true story.

The film, as being in the early 70's, not bad at technical level. The interesting thing is that condenses it pretty well all things that happened and especially has excellent performances by the actor Claudio Brook Raphael.

is an interesting film, sick and develops a fascinating account of madness, fanaticism and sadism.

A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED film and for me a classic horror film that shows that the greatest horrors are not required to come from space or escaping from a military laboratory, but part of the human being is capable of terrible things.

tell an anecdote that the Popes Mexico told their children that if they misbehaved, the house would send the planters. That was the name of the house where the family lived Rafael Hernandez Perez.
